Mohamed Salah arrives in Trabzon to thunderous fan welcome

Thousands of Trabzonspor fans welcomed new signing Mohamed Salah to the city with immense enthusiasm. The Egyptian star arrived to a massive crowd at the airport, signaling the excitement surrounding his transfer.

Trabzonspor officials traveled to Greece, where Salah was vacationing, to finalize the deal. The 34-year-old footballer had previously arrived in Istanbul, where he also received a warm reception from fans. He sent a video message from the plane, wearing a Trabzonspor jersey with the number 61, saying, "Trabzon, are you ready? I hear you. See you very soon. Everywhere is Trabzon for us."

A signing ceremony is scheduled for August 6th at Papara Park. Trabzonspor has secured Salah on a two-year contract, reportedly worth 17 million euros per year. A notable clause in the agreement grants Salah 20% of sales from merchandise bearing his name.

Salah's career is marked by numerous records, particularly during his time at Liverpool. He is the club's all-time leading scorer in the Premier League, the highest-scoring foreign player in Premier League history, and the African player with the most assists in the league. He also holds records for the most goal contributions by a foreign player and by a player at a single club in the Premier League.
