Mokyang Church donates 5 million won to UNICEF Korea for Venezuelan earthquake relief

Mokyang Church has donated 5 million won to UNICEF Korea to aid children and families affected by a devastating earthquake in Venezuela. The church's Senior Pastor Kim Sung-soo expressed a desire to share love and hope with the children who lost their homes and hope due to the sudden disaster. He anticipates this donation will inspire a wave of sharing and hope throughout society, extending beyond the Korean church community.

Cho Jae-sung, head of corporate sponsorship at UNICEF Korea, stated that Mokyang Church's generosity offers significant support to Venezuelan children enduring the most challenging times. He conveyed deep gratitude to Pastor Kim and all church members for their heartfelt contribution to saving children's lives.

We wanted to convey love and hope to the Venezuelan children who have lost their homes and hope due to the sudden earthquake. We hope this donation leads to sharing and a warm wave of hope throughout all communities in our society, beyond Korean churches.

The donated funds will fully support UNICEF's emergency relief operations. These efforts focus on providing safe drinking water, nutrition, essential health and medical services, and child protection for children in crisis following the earthquake. UNICEF Korea had previously provided 1 billion won in emergency aid immediately after the earthquake and is currently running an emergency relief campaign through platforms like Naver Happybean and Kakao Gachigachi, as well as its own website, to assist more children.
