More than seven hectares of state forest land allocated for logistics complex

Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved the conversion of 7.17 hectares of state forest land for a logistics warehouse complex in Alamudun district, Chuy region.

The plot, located in contour No. 40 of the Chokmorov rural area, belongs to the state. Authorities will move it from the category of state forest fund land into the category covering industry, transport, communications, energy, defense and other designated uses.

The Alamudun district administration must amend the land registration documents and ensure that the site serves its stated purpose. It must also prepare and approve urban-planning documentation in line with construction rules.

The resolution sets additional conditions for the project. These include measures to divert rainwater and meltwater, seismic-safety requirements, monitoring of hazardous processes, and compliance with environmental, sanitary and epidemiological standards. If construction workers discover historical or cultural heritage at the site, officials must protect it and bring in an archaeologist to supervise earthworks.

If the land is not used, or is used for another purpose, the authorities must take steps to restore it to its original state. The resolution will take effect 10 days after its adoption.
