More Than Two Kilograms of Drugs Seized in Simultaneous Raids in Isla de Maipo

Carabineros police raided three properties in Isla de Maipo and dismantled what investigators described as a drug storage and distribution center. The simultaneous searches took place on San Antonio Street and in the Montegrande sector.

The operation emerged from an investigation into people linked to aggravated robbery offenses. Officers arrested a person accused of drug trafficking who also had an active arrest warrant connected to those crimes.

Police seized more than two kilograms of different drugs, a prohibited weapon and ammunition in several calibers. Major Claudio Albanese said the suspect was Chilean and had an extensive police record.

“Personnel from the police intelligence unit of the 23rd Talagante Police Station entered and searched three properties,” Albanese said. “As a result, one person was arrested who had an active arrest warrant related to these offenses, and a prohibited weapon, ammunition of different calibers and more than two kilograms of different types of drugs were seized.”
