Morelos governor distributes transit cards to benefit more than 13,000 university students

Morelos Governor Margarita González Saravia began handing out Pase Olin cards at the Polytechnic University of the State of Morelos, launching a program designed to ease transportation costs for university students.

The electronic wallet will provide 1,040 pesos every two months during the September-October and November-December periods. The support will reach 13,428 students enrolled at public institutions across all 36 municipalities of Morelos.

The first distribution covered 1,389 students at the Polytechnic University of Morelos in Jiutepec, where officials also opened the 2026-2027 academic year. The rollout will continue on Sept. 4 at the Zacatepec and Cuautla campuses of Mexico’s National Technological University, followed by the Chamilpa campus of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos on Sept. 7, 8 and 9.

Rodrigo Heredia del Orbe, head of the state youth institute Impajoven, Education Secretary Karla Aline Herrera Alonso and Polytechnic University rector Jorge Morales Barud took part in the program’s relaunch.
