Morena Strengthens Territorial Strategy in Mexico State, Prioritizing South and East

The Morena party in Mexico State is intensifying its electoral territorial strategy, with a pronounced focus on the southern and eastern regions of the state. State party leader Luzma Hernández Bermúdez announced that the party will bolster its presence in densely populated areas, specifically targeting municipalities such as Ecatepec and Nezahualcóyotl. This strategic reinforcement also extends to the western part of the Mexico Valley, including Naucalpan and Atizapán, and continues into the southern localities of Tejupilco, Texcaltitlán, and Tlatlaya. Hernández Bermúdez stated that the strategy prioritizes areas that show a strong call for the party's engagement, alongside regions with high population density. She emphasized that this approach is integrated with ongoing social and welfare policies. Looking ahead to the 2027 electoral process, Morena is evaluating the performance of its incumbent municipal leaders. While some have excelled, others have fallen short, a reality that Hernández Bermúdez acknowledged will be judged by the citizens themselves. Furthermore, Morena in Mexico State is awaiting validation from the National Electoral Institute (INE) for a membership roster nearing two million affiliates, a move intended to solidify the party's organic base for upcoming elections.
