Moroccan and Hungarian Boxers to Clash in International Event

Moroccan and Hungarian boxers are set to face off in a series of strong international bouts on August 2 in Casablanca. The event, organized by the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation, will feature both men's and women's national teams competing at the University Indoor Hall of the Ben Msik Sports Complex.

These international clashes are a crucial part of the intensive preparations for both national squads. For Morocco, the matches serve as vital warm-ups for upcoming major competitions, notably the 20th Mediterranean Games scheduled to be held in Taranto, Italy, from August 21 to September 3, 2026.

Currently, the Hungarian national team is participating in a joint training camp with the Moroccan elite team. This collaborative camp, taking place at the Royal Institute for Training of Executives in Maâmora, Salé, began on July 26 and will conclude on August 1. The technical staff, led by Dr. Gabriele Martelli, is concentrating on conducting test matches and implementing physical and tactical drills to enhance the readiness of the participating athletes.

The boxing event in Casablanca is designed as a significant international gathering, featuring a total of 14 bouts, evenly split between male and female competitors. The weigh-in is scheduled for 8:00 AM on Sunday, with the official matches commencing at 2:00 PM.
