Moroccan star Saibari returns to bid farewell to PSV Eindhoven

Moroccan international Ismael Saibari returned to Eindhoven on Sunday to bid farewell to his former club, PSV. The visit came just hours after he secured his first title in Germany with Bayern Munich, winning the German Super Cup.

PSV shared a touching photo of Saibari during his visit, accompanied by a welcoming message: "We are happy to see you again, Ismail, we are proud of you." This gesture highlights the strong relationship between the player and the club that nurtured his development.

Saibari officially transferred to Bayern Munich on July 1st, signing a contract until June 30, 2031. The transfer fee was described by PSV as a record in the club's history. The Moroccan player spent six seasons with PSV after joining in the summer of 2020 from Genk. He gradually established himself in the first team, contributing to three consecutive Dutch league titles, two domestic cups, and three Super Cup wins. He was also named the best player in the Dutch league for the 2025-2026 season.

Saibari's farewell to Eindhoven follows his historic achievement with Bayern Munich. On Saturday, he won the German Super Cup after defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in his official debut for the Bavarian club. This marked his first trophy with the German giants. Saibari, 25, wears number 34 for Bayern Munich, who signed him after his standout performance in the 2026 World Cup for the Moroccan national team, where he scored three goals in the group stage.
