Morocco Weather Forecast for Sunday

Hot weather will continue across Morocco on Sunday, particularly over the northern and central plains, the Souss region, the southeast and the eastern Saharan provinces, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology.

Low clouds accompanied by fog banks or very light local rain are expected along the northern and central coasts. Thunderstorms may develop over the Atlas Mountains, their western foothills and the phosphate plateaus. The eastern Saharan provinces could also see rain drops accompanied by thunder.

Tangier and the Saharan provinces are expected to experience somewhat strong wind gusts, with a local risk of blowing dust. Minimum temperatures will range from 16 to 22 degrees Celsius in the Atlas Mountains, western Saharan provinces and areas near the coast, and from 24 to 30 degrees elsewhere in the kingdom.

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise across most of the country. Seas will remain calm to slightly rough along the Mediterranean coast and the Strait of Gibraltar, slightly rough between Asilah and Casablanca, and slightly rough to rough along the rest of the Atlantic coast.
