Morocco weather forecast: Hot conditions persist with strong winds expected

Morocco is bracing for continued hot weather, particularly in the desert regions and the southeastern parts of the kingdom, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology. Inland northern and central plains, the Saiss region, the eastern areas, and the interior of the Souss region will also experience relatively hot conditions.

Residents along the Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean facade can expect low-lying clouds, accompanied by fog and very light rain showers, primarily during the morning and night. These conditions may bring a slight respite from the heat in coastal areas.

Gusty winds are forecast for several regions, including the southern provinces, central Morocco, the Atlas Mountains, the southeastern areas, and the eastern region. These winds could be strong enough to cause localized dust storms, adding to the challenging weather conditions.

Temperatures are expected to vary significantly across the country. Overnight lows will range from 27 to 32 degrees Celsius in the eastern desert regions, the Small Atlas, and the southeast. Cooler temperatures between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius are predicted for the Atlas Mountains, the eastern regions, the coasts, and the northern and central plains, as well as the Mediterranean coast. Most other parts of the kingdom will see lows between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius.
