Morogoro residents, police unite to maintain peace and stability

Peace and security remain stable in Morogoro Municipality, allowing residents and business owners to continue their daily income-generating activities without reported threats. Transport and logistics services at bus terminals are also uninterrupted, with police conducting routine patrols in the town center. Morogoro Regional Police Commander ACP Andrew Kantimbo emphasized that peace is fundamental for economic development, investment, and citizen welfare. He urged residents to cooperate with security organs to maintain unity and stability, assuring them of the police force's readiness to address any disruptions. Popular boxer Karimu Mandonga echoed this sentiment, calling on Tanzanians to uphold the principle of unity, warning that even minor threats should not be ignored as they can escalate. He also advised security agencies to remain vigilant and respond promptly to signs of insecurity. Despite the current calm, some traders expressed lingering fear and anxiety recalling past incidents in Dar es Salaam and other regions on October 29, 2025.
