Motorcyclist Attacks Driver with Screwdriver After Phone Warning in Turkey

An altercation in Arnavutköy, Turkey, escalated into a violent assault when a driver was attacked with a screwdriver for warning a motorcyclist about using a mobile phone while riding. The incident occurred in traffic as the car driver cautioned the motorcyclist to focus on the road.

The motorcyclist, angered by the warning, demanded the car driver pull over. Once the car stopped, the motorcyclist dismounted, retrieved a screwdriver, and proceeded to attack the driver. The entire confrontation and assault were captured on the car's dashcam, showing the motorcyclist approaching the vehicle aggressively.

Following the incident, the car driver filed a complaint with the Arnavutköy District Police Department. Authorities quickly identified and apprehended the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Y.İ. The police initiated legal proceedings against him.

In addition to the criminal investigation, the motorcyclist was issued a substantial administrative traffic fine totaling 226,000 Turkish Lira for various violations. He was taken to a police station for processing and is expected to be transferred to the courthouse.
