Motorcyclist crashes into traffic signal in El Bosque; passenger dies

A tragic traffic accident in El Bosque, Chile, claimed the life of a 22-year-old man early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of Sur and Padre Hurtado avenues when the motorcycle carrying two individuals crashed into a traffic signal.

According to Carabineros Captain Manuel Fuentes, the driver, identified by the initials S.A.M.M., lost control of the motorcycle while traveling north for reasons still under investigation. The impact with the signal pole tragically killed the passenger, identified as M.A.R.N. The driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to Barros Luco Hospital, where his condition is reported as stable and not life-threatening.
