Motorcyclists Kill Two Youths in Tula, Hidalgo; Police Launch Manhunt

An armed assault in Tula, Hidalgo, Mexico, has resulted in the deaths of two young men. The victims were reportedly shot by assailants on motorcycles in an area known as El Chamizal, in the locality of El Carmen. The attack occurred on a neighborhood road near cultivated fields, where the aggressors surprised the two individuals and fired multiple shots. Local residents alerted authorities after hearing the gunfire, prompting the arrival of Municipal Police as first responders. Officers confirmed that both victims showed no signs of life. The area was subsequently cordoned off as an operation was launched to apprehend the suspects. The State Attorney General's Office has opened an investigation and is processing the crime scene for evidence. The municipality of Tula de Allende is recognized as a high-priority security zone, facing significant challenges with serious crimes including homicides, drug trafficking, and fuel theft.
