Mount Anak Krakatau, situated in the Sunda Strait, experienced a highly active day on Monday, August 17, 2026, with a total of 19 recorded eruptions. The volcano's seismic activity was significant, with eruption amplitudes ranging from 30-64 mm and tremors lasting between 21-197 seconds.
