Mühlhausen Museum St. Marien Reopens to Visitors

After a successful run that drew over 65,000 visitors, the Müntzer Memorial St. Marien Church in Mühlhausen is once again opening its doors to the public. The venue, which recently hosted a significant regional exhibition on the German Peasants' War, is now returning to its regular programming. This reopening coincides with the re-display of the exhibition "Of Unicorns and Dragon Slayers: Medieval Art from Thuringia." This collection, a collaborative effort between the Mühlhausen Museums and the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, offers a glimpse into the region's rich artistic heritage, featuring altars, paintings, and sculptures. Notably, this exhibition is designed to be interactive, with special features for children, including an audio guide, a children's art guide, and comic stations, making medieval art accessible and engaging for younger audiences. The return to normalcy at the St. Marien Church signifies a continuation of its cultural mission, providing both historical insights and artistic experiences to the community and beyond.
