Murder Charges After Man Found Dead at Australind Bus Stop

Two men have been charged with murder following the death of a man in his 20s at a bus stop in Australind, Western Australia. Police responded to calls about an unresponsive man with critical injuries at the bus stop in the early hours of Sunday. Paramedics attended to the man, who was then transported to Bunbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say paramedics were called to an unresponsive man with critical injuries at a bus stop in Australind, about 158 kilometres south of Perth, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Authorities arrested two men, both in their 30s, on Sunday. They were subsequently charged with murder on Monday morning. Police allege that the incident occurred after an altercation in a car park on The Promenade in Australind shortly after 1 a.m. It is believed the two accused followed the victim after he walked away from the car park and assaulted him with a pole.

On Sunday morning, a large area in Australind, including a car park and two bus stops adjacent to The Boulevard, was cordoned off by police as officers conducted their investigation. Two damaged vehicles were visible behind police tape in the car park of a shopping complex. The two accused men are scheduled to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday.
