Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins, 89, is embarking on a new artistic chapter as a classical composer, signing a contract with the renowned label Decca Classics. His debut album, titled "Life Is a Dream," is scheduled for release on October 21, marking a significant milestone in his long-standing musical pursuits.

Hopkins, celebrated for his iconic roles in films like "The Silence of the Lambs" and "The Father," has nurtured a parallel passion for music throughout his career. He began studying piano at the age of four and composed music for local theater productions during his teenage years. Even after achieving global fame as an actor, he continued to compose, creating scores for films he directed, such as "August" (1996) and "Slipstream" (2007).

The upcoming album "Life Is a Dream" draws inspiration from Hopkins' family and his homeland. The pre-released single, "Bracken Road," is a piece that evokes memories of the streets, fields, and mountains of his childhood.
