Myongji University Cultivates Future Talent with Innovative Academic System and AI Education

Myongji University is presenting a model for future university innovation through bold academic structure reforms and comprehensive AI education, aligning with its 'MJU 2030 Mid- to Long-Term Development Plan.' The university is accelerating AI education and AX (AI Transformation) convergence education, designating AI as a core competency for all students.

The university has expanded AI literacy education for all students, including the use of generative AI and AI ethics. It has also introduced 'AX Convergence Bridge Courses' that connect majors with AI, along with AI-related majors and convergence tracks, to cultivate problem-solving skills demanded by the industry. To empower students in choosing their majors and planning their careers, Myongji University has significantly expanded liberal arts programs and broad college admissions.

The 'Honor College (Liberal Arts Division)' at the center of these reforms provides close guidance from faculty advisors and actively adopts learner-centered educational methods like flipped learning and PBL to support freshmen in exploring majors and adapting to university life. Furthermore, the university has extended this autonomous career exploration to a global scale. Through the 'Honor Global Camp,' a total of 74 students visited overseas universities like RWTH Aachen University in Germany and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia, as well as global industrial sites, gaining academic credit and practical experience.

Students' practical skills, honed through academic restructuring and global experiences, are further refined through a comprehensive 'lifelong employment care' system. Myongji University operates mentoring programs and boot camps involving alumni working at companies like Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and LG Electronics, supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'University Job Plus Center' and 'Student-Tailored Employment Services.' The university has completed a care system that takes responsibility from admission to social integration, including providing 1:1 matching support from professional consultants even after graduation, thereby realizing the fruits of educational innovation.
