Myongji University holds admissions strategy event for 2027 applicants

Myongji University held an admissions information event for high school students, parents and teachers ahead of the September application period for the 2027 academic year.

The August 29 MJ Admissions Empathy program took place at the university’s Humanities Campus. It focused on the main features of the 2027 early admissions process, including student-record-based and school-record-based selection, as well as application strategies used by major universities in the Seoul metropolitan area.

This MJ Admissions Empathy event was organized to provide practical help to students preparing for the 2027 university admissions process and their parents, so they can understand the characteristics of each selection track and their application direction.

The program began with welcoming remarks from Choi Min-seok, head of Myongji’s admissions office. Teachers Kim Dong-jeong of Seongbo High School and Lee Hae-dong of Jaehyun High School led sessions on the two main admissions tracks. Myongji admissions officer Woo Dong-hoon then explained the university’s own selection process and application strategy.

Participants could also receive individual counseling after the lectures. Choi said the event aimed to help applicants and their parents understand the characteristics of each selection route and choose an application direction. Myongji’s early admissions application window is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. on September 7 to 5 p.m. on September 11.
