Myongji University Professor registers trademark and copyright for 'Screen Acting Game'

Professor Lee Eon-jeong, a faculty member in the Performing Arts department at Myongji University and an accomplished actress, has taken significant steps to protect her innovative educational approach. She has successfully filed for the trademark 'Screen Acting Game' and completed the copyright registration for her 'Screen Acting Game (Screen Acting Game) Teaching Method Manual.'

This manual is the culmination of Professor Lee's doctoral research, systematizing the screen acting curriculum she has been applying in her university classes since 2022. The initiative is recognized for its ability to organically connect research, education, and content development, transforming her unique teaching methodology into intellectual property.

The 'Screen Acting Game' curriculum is designed to foster active participation and immersion among students by integrating gamification principles into screen acting education. It aims to equip students with practical skills optimized for contemporary video production environments, covering everything from on-set camera work and auditions to acting with CG effects using green screens.

Myongji University will officially implement this curriculum in the second semester of the 2026 academic year. Professor Lee plans to continuously refine the curriculum and teaching methods, with aspirations to broaden its application to acting workshops and various cultural and artistic education programs in the future.

Reflecting on her work, Professor Lee, a KBS-contracted actress and a doctor of film studies, stated, "I aimed to build a practical curriculum by combining my on-site experience as an actor with academic research." She added, "I hope this will be of substantial help to students in growing into professional actors equipped with field-ready skills, and I will continue to strive for the development of educational content that bridges theory and practice."
