Mysterious Exhibitionist Continues to Elude Police at Tallinn Cemetery

Metsakalmistu cemetery in Tallinn has become the scene of unsettling incidents involving an unidentified exhibitionist, causing distress to visitors. Reports indicate that the individual has appeared multiple times, typically during dusk, making them difficult to identify.

Usually, the activity of such people is hidden somewhere, showing their body parts. They may also have mental problems, who do such things. They may act, yes, rather at a time when it starts to get dark, so that their actions or their identification is a little harder to track.

Police are actively investigating these occurrences. Mari-Liis Mölder, head of the regional group at the Ida-Harju police station, noted that such behavior is often carried out in secluded areas to avoid detection. She suggested that individuals engaging in such acts may have psychological issues. Mölder emphasized the importance of timely reporting, stating that the sooner information reaches the police, the faster they can potentially apprehend the suspect.

Merike Idavain, the site manager at Metsakalmistu, confirmed that there have been previous mentions of such incidents, but they were typically isolated events occurring perhaps once a year. However, the recent frequency has raised concerns. One woman, who wished to remain anonymous, recounted seeing the exhibitionist completely naked while she was in the cemetery during twilight. The man reportedly only stopped when she began to cry for help.

In the usual style, we check the person's statements, what were the characteristics of the given person. The faster the information reaches us, the faster we can possibly catch the person. The goal would be to always call 112, so that a patrol could perhaps quickly check the area. In the case of this incident, the area was checked for several days, but the corresponding person could not be identified.

Police have conducted patrols in the area over several days but have been unable to locate the individual. Mölder advised that if the exhibitionist is seen, people should call emergency services immediately at 112. Providing detailed descriptions of the suspect's appearance and movements can significantly aid the police in their investigation. For elderly visitors, the cemetery management recommends bringing a companion for safety and reporting any sightings directly to the cemetery office or the police.

Based on the descriptions, he is simply a man, dressed in dark clothes, at that moment no one can say whether he was younger or older. The situation is obviously frightening, so people do not pay much attention to details.
