Nadia Beller discharged from clinic amid police escort, maintains ex-partner is responsible

Lawyer Nadia Beller has been discharged from Clínica Las Américas, five days after being hospitalized for three gunshot wounds sustained in an armed attack. She left the clinic in a wheelchair, with police providing security, and maintains that her life remains at risk.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, Beller was shot by two men disguised as delivery drivers on the night of August 17. One assailant fired the shots, while the other stole her cell phone and wallet. During her hospital stay, Beller explicitly accused her ex-partner, Fernando Cerimedo, a former presidential advisor, of orchestrating the attack.

Cerimedo, who is currently under 180 days of preventive detention in Palmasola prison, has vehemently denied the accusations, calling the court's decision "madness." He has stated to the judge that he never participated in violent acts or hired hitmen.

Despite Cerimedo's denials, Beller has continued to point to him as the perpetrator on social media, urging President Rodrigo Paz to comment on the case. Following Beller's release, police presence was reinforced not only around the clinic but also at her residence, with special DELTA group officers providing security.
