Nadia Nadim Stars as HB Køge Clinches Fourth Danish Championship

HB Køge has clinched the Danish championship title for the fourth time in the club's history, defeating Kolding IF 3-1 in the final match of the A-Ligaen season. The decisive victory at home cemented their status as champions, holding off rivals Brøndby.

The championship was never truly in doubt for HB Køge, who had already secured the title in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The team's star forward, Nadia Nadim, was instrumental in the win, scoring two goals within the first 15 minutes. Her brace not only ignited the celebration but also propelled her to the top of the league's scoring charts with a total of 16 goals for the season.

Adding to HB Køge's dominance, Rikke Marie Madsen scored the third goal just minutes after Nadim's second, bringing the score to 3-0 within 18 minutes. Kolding IF's defense struggled significantly during these crucial moments, leaving their players exposed. While Kolding managed to pull one goal back in the second half, it was not enough to alter the outcome.

With this championship win, HB Køge and second-place finishers Brøndby have both secured berths in the next season's Champions League. A close contest for third place, which grants qualification for the Champions League qualifiers, was also decided, with Fortuna Hjørring emerging victorious.
