Nadia Nadim strike sends HB Køge back to league summit

Nadia Nadim's goal propelled HB Køge back to the top of the A-Liga table with a crucial 1-0 victory over defending champions Fortuna Hjørring. The win allowed HB Køge to regain the league lead after a recent dip in form had allowed Brøndby to briefly overtake them.

The decisive moment came in the second half when Nadim, the team's striker, demonstrated her scoring prowess. After intercepting the ball near the penalty area, she calmly slotted it into the net for her 12th league goal of the season. This was Nadim's first goal in 2026, having previously been sidelined by an injury earlier in the year.

With this victory, HB Køge now holds a one-point advantage over Brøndby heading into the final two matches of the season. The team is on track to secure its fourth league championship, having previously won titles consecutively from 2021 to 2023.
