NAF kills terrorists in Adamawa, Borno operations

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its counter-terrorism efforts in the North East, launching precise air strikes against terrorist enclaves in Adamawa and Borno States. These operations, conducted under the umbrella of Operation HADIN KAI, underscore the NAF's unwavering commitment to eradicating insurgency and restoring peace to the affected regions.

The recent strikes, which took place on May 19, 2026, specifically targeted Bukar Meram in the Southern Tumbuns and Chikide in the Mandara Mountains. These locations were identified through credible intelligence and confirmed via Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions as critical logistics hubs and assembly points for terrorist groups. The NAF's ability to gather and act upon such intelligence highlights the sophistication and effectiveness of its operations.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information, the air strikes resulted in the neutralization of several terrorists and the disruption of planned attacks. Crucially, the operations successfully destroyed vital terrorist logistics facilities and operational structures, significantly degrading the insurgents' capacity to carry out their nefarious activities. Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Kelvin Aneke, reiterated the NAF's steadfast dedication to sustaining joint military operations.
