Naked, masked man commits indecent acts near Yonsei University dorms; police search underway

Seoul police are actively searching for a suspect after a man, reportedly naked and wearing a mask, allegedly committed an indecent act near a dormitory on Yonsei University's Sinchon campus. The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. on August 19th, with the suspect reportedly fleeing into a wooded area after assaulting a victim identified as a Yonsei student.

This is not an isolated event. Investigations revealed two previous reports of indecent acts by a similarly described individual in the same location in June and July. In July, a passerby also reported a masked man hiding in bushes, prompting a 112 call. Police are treating these incidents as potentially linked and are focusing on identifying the perpetrator through CCTV footage, victim testimonies, and DNA analysis.

The repeated appearances of the suspect in the same area, particularly near a student residential zone, have raised concerns. The police are intensifying their efforts to apprehend the individual and prevent further occurrences, emphasizing the use of forensic evidence to aid the investigation.
