Nasarawa Amazons, El-Kanemi Warriors Win 2026 Federation Cup

Nasarawa Amazons claimed the women's President Federation Cup title, triumphing over Heartland Queens in a dramatic penalty shootout. After a scoreless first half, Heartland Queens took an early second-half lead through Chizoba Johnson. However, Nasarawa Amazons, coached by Christopher Danjuma, equalized via Judith Adaobi, forcing the match into a sudden-death penalty shootout, which they ultimately won 6-5.

In the men's final, El-Kanemi Warriors secured their victory with a single first-half penalty converted by Muktari Ismail. Despite spirited efforts from Ikorodu City in the second half, the Maiduguri-based team held on to clinch the trophy. This win also secures El-Kanemi Warriors a coveted ticket to represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Heartland Queens and Ikorodu City, both debutants in the competition, showcased impressive performances throughout the tournament, reaching the finals by overcoming more established teams. Their journey, however, ended in defeat against the experienced sides of Nasarawa Amazons and El-Kanemi Warriors, respectively.
