Natalie Portman Welcomes Her Third Child: ‘A Privilege and a Miracle’

Natalie Portman has become a mother of three after giving birth last month in Paris to her first child with partner Tanguy Destable. The newborn joins her older children, 15-year-old Aleph and 9-year-old Amalia, whom she shares with her former husband, director and choreographer Benjamin Millepied.

The star of “Thor: Love and Thunder” announced in April that she was expecting her third child. “Tanguy and I are very excited,” she said at the time. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s a privilege and a miracle.”

Portman said the relationship with Destable was confirmed in March 2025 after the French magazine Voici linked the pair. In an interview, she described this pregnancy as calmer and said she was enjoying every moment.

Portman recently completed several projects and turned her focus to family. She said she was especially happy to experience the pregnancy in Paris, where she enjoyed the spring weather, parks and art. She also joked that France considers a full-term pregnancy to last 41 weeks rather than 40, meaning she might get an extra week.
