National Nutrition Agency Meets Bareskrim to Address Illegal Trading of SPPG Locations

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has met with the National Police Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) to coordinate crackdowns on the illegal buying and selling of locations for the Free Nutrition Eating Dapur (MBG) program, also known as Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG).

According to BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya, the coordination is a response to widespread fraudulent practices where individuals are extorting money from the public by falsely claiming they can secure SPPG permits. These fraudsters often pose as close associates or even officials of the BGN.

"The complainants are victims of fraud by parties who claim to be close to BGN officials, some even claiming to be BGN officials, then offering services to register SPPG locations for a fee," Sonjaya explained to reporters at Bareskrim on Monday (May 25).

Sonjaya noted that police have already handled several reports, including one in West Java where a perpetrator was apprehended. He emphasized the importance of the coordination with the MBG Task Force at Bareskrim to expedite the processing of reports and prevent further exploitation of the MBG program for personal gain. "This program must be protected together. It is a noble program. We must not let its implementation be exploited by irresponsible individuals," he urged.

Brig. Gen. Nurworo Danang, head of the MBG Task Force at the National Police, affirmed full support for legal enforcement against those misusing the MBG program for illicit profits. He urged the public to report any suspected violations or irregularities to local law enforcement, whether at the Polres or Polda level, to ensure timely action.
