NDA Director receives French Ambassador & Business France delegation to discuss cooperation

Mahmoud Al-Furjani, Director General of Libya's National Development Agency (NDA), welcomed the French Ambassador to Libya, Thierry VALLAT, and a delegation from Business France to the NDA's headquarters in Sirte. The French delegation included representatives from companies specializing in sports infrastructure, specialized medical transport, and sustainable agriculture.

The visit provided an opportunity to review the development projects overseen by the NDA and to assess the scope of work accomplished across the city.

The meeting aimed to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation, particularly in supporting the Municipality and University of Sirte. Discussions also emphasized the NDA's ongoing efforts to implement development projects aligned with the "Libya 2030 Vision." The visit underscored the commitment to fostering economic partnerships and exchanging expertise between Libya and France.

During the visit, the delegation toured several key development sites managed by the NDA across central and southern Libya. These included Sirte Gulf International Airport, the Sirte Free Zone Port, Sirte International Stadium, and various bridge projects, notably the "Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous" Bridge, which is being executed by a French company. The French Embassy noted that the visit provided an opportunity to review the progress of development projects and acknowledge the tangible results achieved in Sirte's reconstruction and development.

The delegation engaged in technical briefings with NDA engineers and explored further cooperation opportunities in sectors ranging from infrastructure and agriculture to healthcare, education, aviation, and port operations.
