Nearly 70 Competitors to Vie in Estonian and Baltic Rallycross Championship Stage

The Raassilla circuit is set to host a significant event this weekend, drawing nearly 70 competitors for a combined stage of the Estonian and Baltic rallycross championships. The competition promises thrilling races across various categories, highlighting both established talent and emerging drivers.

The BMW RX3000 and CrossCar classes are expected to be the most competitive, each boasting a field of 13 participants. Notably, Karl Martin Volver, a recent winner of the South Estonia Rally in the Estonian championship, is slated to compete in the CrossCar category. The BMW RX3000 class will see the top drivers from across the Baltic states go head-to-head.

Other classes also promise intense action. The Super1600 category will feature ten drivers, including Albert Ako Kokk, who currently holds third place in the European Championship's Euro RX4 class. The field will also include Marten Muld, Henri Muld, and Karl Kimmel, who have transitioned from national folk cross competitions this season.

Mati Kask, chairman of the Estonian Autosport Union's rallycross committee, expressed confidence in the upcoming races. "We expect exciting racing in all classes, there is no doubt about that," Kask stated. He particularly highlighted the Yaris1000 youth class, which will feature nine young drivers. Kask encouraged parents to attend and introduce their children to this category, emphasizing its role as a valuable entry point into rallycross for young aspiring racers.
