Neighbor murdered; suspect caught with weapon

A woman living alone, identified as N.Ş., was discovered dead in her home in the Yunuslu Mahallesi neighborhood of Turkey. Relatives found her in a pool of blood on a recent morning and alerted authorities.

Emergency services, including police and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene. Medical personnel confirmed N.Ş. had died. Her body was transported to the Ereğli State Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Following the discovery, police launched an investigation and determined the incident likely occurred the previous evening. Their investigation quickly identified the suspect as A.G., who operates a local restaurant specializing in 'etli ekmek' (a type of Turkish flatbread with meat) on the ground floor of the apartment building. Police apprehended A.G. at his residence, where they recovered a sum of money allegedly taken from N.Ş. and the knife believed to be the murder weapon. A.G. was taken into custody for questioning at the Ereğli District Police Department.
