Neighbors say refrigerated container was not at Paju cafe until late August

Neighbors say a white refrigerated container found holding the body of a woman in her 60s may have been brought to a cafe in Paju only recently.

Residents told Newsis that they had not seen the container before the incident on the 3rd. Reviews posted on social media also did not show the container in the cafe parking lot as recently as the middle of last month.

The container now sits beside the cafe building, stretched across parking spaces at the far end of the lot. Police lines have been placed around its entrance.

A person identified as A, who delivered drinks and other items to the cafe, told Newsis: “Even when I visited the cafe around two weeks ago, in late August, I did not see the white container. I usually park in the cafe lot, but I had never seen it.”
