Nepal Cricket Association to buy ground equipment with ICC funds

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is set to acquire essential cricket ground equipment, funded in part by the International Cricket Council (ICC). CAN announced on Monday that it is seeking international competitive bids for the purchase, marking a significant step in upgrading Nepal's cricket infrastructure.

The procurement process will follow a "single-stage, two-envelope" bidding system, requiring companies to submit technical and financial proposals separately. This method ensures a thorough evaluation of both the technical capabilities and cost-effectiveness of the bids. Tender documents can be purchased from CAN's office in Mulpani until September 15, 2026, or downloaded for free from the CAN website.

Bids must be submitted to CAN's Mulpani office by noon on September 16, 2026, with options for in-person delivery, courier, or electronic submission. The bids will be opened at 1 pm the same day. A bid security of at least Rs 1.5 million is mandatory, with the security needing to remain valid for 120 days, plus an additional 30 days beyond the bid validity period. This initiative, supported by the ICC, aims to enhance the quality of cricket grounds in Nepal.
