Nepal launches app to trace people missing after Rasuwa floods

Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has introduced the 'Setu Rapid App' to aid in locating individuals missing since the Rasuwa floods. The app allows relatives of the missing to submit their details, a process that has already seen approximately 1,500 forms lodged.

NDRRMA Undersecretary Ram Bahadur KC explained that the submitted forms represent raw data requiring verification. He noted that the number of submitted forms does not directly equate to the number of missing people, as duplicate submissions are possible, and some listed individuals may have already been found or their bodies recovered.
