Nepal's former PM meets with JVP General Secretary

A significant meeting took place at the headquarters of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) in Battaramulla, where General Secretary Tilvin Silva engaged in discussions with former Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The primary focus of the meeting was to explore the JVP's trajectory as a political party aiming for governmental power. Concurrently, the exchange delved into the experiences and strategies of the Communist Party of Nepal, drawing parallels and lessons between the two political entities.

The gathering was not limited to the two main figures. Several international representatives were also present, including Vijaya Prasad from the Indian Communist Party (Marxist) and the Tricontinental Social Research Institute. Professor Xinru Lu from the East China Normal University, Balram Bankota, a Central Committee member of the Communist Party of Nepal, Ganga Dahal, a member of the same party, and Tingz Chack, a representative of the International People's Assembly, also participated in the discussions.
