Nepal Volleyball Association announces 19 events for 2026/27 season

The Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) has unveiled an ambitious calendar featuring 19 national and international events for the 2026/27 season. The announcement, made in Kathmandu, signals a commitment to expanding the sport's reach and competitiveness within Nepal.

While the NVA assured a bigger and better season, the dates for 16 of the 19 events remain unannounced. However, key tournaments are slated to proceed as planned. The Nepal Volleyball League, a franchise initiative by Kedia Group in association with the NVA, is set to kick off next month. Additionally, Nepal will participate in the CAVA Beach Volleyball Tour in Bhutan in September, followed by hosting the CAVA Women’s Champions League in Kathmandu from November 1 to 7.

Notably, the 35th National Men's and 25th National Women's Volleyball Championship will be hosted in Surkhet, marking the only domestic tournament confirmed to take place outside the capital. The NVA also plans to organize several other events, including the 11th PM Cup NVA Volleyball League and various beach volleyball and youth tournaments, at undisclosed venues outside Kathmandu. The women's team is also scheduled to compete in the 20th Asian Games in Japan and another CAVA Beach Volleyball Tour in the Maldives.

The dates have not been confirmed for most of the tournaments to make it feasible for other mofussil events as well. But these events have been confirmed and will be hosted in a timely manner.
