Netanyahu and Katz order IDF to target senior Palestinian Authority officials in 'all-out war' on West Bank terrorism

Israel’s defense minister and prime minister have ordered the military to prepare for what they described as an “all-out war” against senior Palestinian Authority officials and militant infrastructure in the West Bank.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I instructed the IDF to prepare to launch an all-out war against senior officials and mechanisms of the Palestinian Authority, the bodies associated with them, and against all terrorist infrastructure in Judea and Samaria,” Defense Minister Israel Katz said.

The statement came after a stabbing attack at Maoz Yehuda Farm near Kusra left one person moderately to seriously wounded. Netanyahu said the attacker had been killed and praised the soldiers involved. “No terrorist can hide,” he said. “I commend our heroic fighters who engaged the enemy and eliminated the terrorist who carried out the attack in Samaria. I wish a complete recovery to the farm owner who was wounded in the attack.”

The IDF has also launched several exercises to test combat readiness against a possible multipronged attack. The drills include Operation Dawn 2.0, Operation Advancing the Wall and Operation Southern Wind in the Eilat area and along Israel’s western border.
