Netanyahu's Likud falls to lowest position since June 2025 as Eisenkot reaches new heights - poll

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party has hit its lowest polling numbers since June 2025, according to a Maariv poll released Friday. The party is projected to secure only 20 seats in the upcoming election.

In contrast, the Yashar party, led by former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot, has surged to a record high of 23 seats, establishing a three-seat lead over Likud. This shift indicates a potential realignment in the Israeli political landscape.

Other parties also saw changes in the poll. Naftali Bennett's Together party gained one seat to reach 17, and Yisrael Beytenu rose to 10 seats. Yair Golan's Democrats remained unchanged at 11 seats. Within the governing coalition, Itamar Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit gained one seat to reach eight, matching the haredi parties Shas and United Torah Judaism. Bezalel Smotrich's Religious Zionist Party also increased its seat count by one, reaching five.

Despite these shifts, the opposition bloc collectively holds a majority of 61 seats, while Netanyahu's coalition stands at 49 seats. The Arab parties remained stable with 10 seats. Notably, Yesodot Israel and Balad failed to cross the electoral threshold, as did Benny Gantz's Blue and White party.
