Neurosurgeon Li Weiyu joins Asia University Hospital's Fengyuan branch after contract dispute

Neurosurgeon Li Weiyu has announced his move to the Fengyuan Branch of Asia University Hospital, following a widely publicized contract dispute with his previous employer, the Dajia Li General Hospital. The announcement came via a Facebook post where Li shared a fortune stick reading, interpreting it as a sign of clarity and a positive future.

Li expressed his gratitude for the trust of his patients and their families, as well as the warm invitations from hospital executives and friends. He stated his decision to join Asia University Hospital was to offer his patients a stable and long-term medical support system. During a transition period from September to December, he will hold clinics at the hospital's Fengzhong and Wufeng branches.

The new Fengyuan Branch, a 7.5 billion NT dollar project, broke ground in May 2024 and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
