New Al Ahly Coach Hussein Ammouta Begins Work Remotely

Hussein Ammouta, the newly appointed coach of Egyptian club Al Ahly, has already begun his work remotely before his official arrival in Cairo, scheduled for July 4 or 5. The Moroccan coach is actively reviewing the team's current roster and identifying players who will be part of his plans for the next season, as well as those who will be allowed to leave during the summer transfer window. Ammouta has postponed final decisions on the future of several players, including Moroccan trio Youssef Blamri, Ashraf Dari, and Achraf Bencharki, until the team's upcoming training camp.

Sources indicate that Ammouta has also finalized the selection of his assistant coaching staff, details of which were previously reported. Official contract signings are expected in the coming days. Meanwhile, Ammouta's agent has returned to Morocco after overseeing all necessary arrangements for the coach's arrival in Cairo. This includes securing a luxury villa in a high-end district of the Egyptian capital, reportedly owned by Al Ahly's vice-president Yassin Mansour, chosen from five options presented to the coach.

The agent has also arranged accommodation for the assistant coaching staff in neighboring villas and provided them with vehicles for their stay in Egypt. Administrative arrangements for Ammouta and his team have been completed with the club's management. Ammouta's initial priorities will be to study the summer transfer targets and evaluate players slated for departure, with the goal of building a competitive squad for both domestic and continental competitions next season.
