New Beca 18 call opens: access one of 2,000 vacancies until August 9

Peru's National Scholarship and Educational Credit Program (Pronabec) has announced a new opportunity for students to apply for Beca 18, offering 2,000 scholarships for university or technical careers. This fourth application window is available for students who were pre-selected in the 2026 call but did not secure a scholarship in earlier stages.

The program's expansion was made possible by a supplementary credit approved in the public sector budget, Law N.° 32732. Applications opened on July 31 and will remain accessible until August 9, with the process conducted virtually and free of charge through the official contest module.

To be eligible, applicants must be pre-selected, have completed secondary education, and possess current admission to an eligible higher education institution and program for the 2026-I and 2026-II academic periods. Selection will be based on strict merit order, prioritizing academic performance and the choice of careers aligned with national and regional development needs.

Beca 18 covers comprehensive costs, including tuition, fees, accommodation, food, and local transportation. Depending on the modality, it also finances study materials, English courses, a laptop, and interprovincial travel. The program aims to support students with high academic potential, ensuring they can pursue their chosen fields without financial barriers.
