New Book by General Nguyễn Trọng Nghĩa: Exemplary Officials Earn Public Trust

A new book by General Nguyễn Trọng Nghĩa, Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, has been launched, offering insights into the Party's ideological work and its role in national development. Titled "Party Ideological Work - The Foundation for National Progress in the New Era," the book was released on June 8 in Hanoi by the National Political Truth Publishing House in collaboration with relevant Party and military departments.

The publication gathers General Nghĩa's significant articles and speeches delivered during the 13th National Party Congress. It provides a systematic overview of core issues in ideological work over the past period and outlines strategic directions for enhancing the quality and effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization efforts in Vietnam's new era of development. The book aims to guide the nation's progress by strengthening its ideological foundations.

Senior Lieutenant General Trương Thiên Tô, Deputy Chairman of the General Department of Politics, highlighted three key values of the book. Firstly, it systematically elaborates on the vital position and role of ideological work in building and defending the nation. Secondly, it reflects innovative thinking regarding the content and methods of ideological work in the current era, emphasizing proactive situation assessment, improved propaganda and political education, and enhanced combativeness and persuasiveness. It also stresses the importance of countering hostile viewpoints and safeguarding the Party's ideological platform amidst the rapid growth of digital technology and cyberspace.

Thirdly, the book holds practical significance for building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern People's Army that is politically strong, absolutely loyal to the Party, the nation, and the people. It also aims to foster internal unity and strengthen the bond between the military and the populace. Dr. Vũ Thanh Mai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mobilization Department, described the work as a valuable theoretical and practical summary, offering profound direction and guidance for leaders, managers, propaganda workers, journalists, publishers, researchers, and political theory educators.
