New celebrity gossip program canceled days before airing

A new celebrity gossip program, "Modo Cahuín," has been canceled by the Chilean channel Zona Latina just three days before its scheduled television debut. The show, which had successfully transitioned from a web format to television since March, was slated to premiere on Monday, June 1st, in the prime time slot.

The planned move would have shifted the channel's flagship gossip program, "Zona de Estrellas," to a different time. However, reports from Glamorama indicate that "Modo Cahuín" was unexpectedly pulled from the schedule on Friday afternoon. The channel ultimately decided not to proceed with the launch.

While the channel has not provided an official reason for the cancellation, unofficial sources point to economic disagreements as the primary cause. Currently, there are no plans to reschedule or revive the "Modo Cahuín" project on Zona Latina.

The cancellation came as a surprise to the production team, including host Daniella Campos and panelists Luis Sandoval, Claudia Schmitd, and Camila Nash, who were preparing for their prime time television debut.
