New Taipei candidate Su Chiao-hui emphasizes vision, addresses opponent's controversy

Democratic Progressive Party legislator and New Taipei mayoral candidate Su Chiao-hui attended the Sanbian Mazu pilgrimage at Guanshi Zhushan Temple in Sanchong District. During the event, she commented on the latest internal party polls showing her leading against KMT candidate Li Chuan-chuan and the joint appearance of People First Party Chairman Huang Kuo-chang with Li.

Su stated that a "progressive New Taipei" should embrace diverse voices and opinions. She expressed her hope that all perspectives can be presented and discussed on the New Taipei stage, ultimately leading to consensus. She believes that New Taipei's progress will be achieved through vision and policy proposals.

Su highlighted her commitment to developing policies that cater to various groups. She announced plans to release policies for indigenous communities the following day. Previously, she had unveiled six welfare policies, four youth support policies, and three family care policies. Additionally, she presented two tourism plans, "New Crown Coast" and "Diamond Mountain City," aiming to inspire hope and signal a new era for New Taipei.

When questioned again by the media about Li Chuan-chuan's controversial property purchase and the source of funds, Su reiterated that financial disputes should be addressed and explained by the individual involved. She clarified that she has not engaged in personal attacks nor authorized anyone to do so.

Su expressed her determination to work with DPP city councilors and candidates to ensure New Taipei flourishes, promising that her administration will bring forth the most beautiful outcomes for the region.
