New Taipei City Housing Market Sees 2.7% Transaction Increase in July, Tamsui Leads Growth

New Taipei City's housing market experienced a moderate increase in transactions in July, with a total of 4,850 units changing hands. This figure represents a 2.7% rise compared to June, indicating a slight uptick in market activity across the metropolitan area.

The most significant growth was observed in Tamsui District, which added 313 transactions, marking an impressive increase of 79.64%. Other districts also saw notable gains: Tucheng District recorded an additional 232 transactions (up 113.17%), and Xinzhuang District added 212 transactions (up 54.22%). These figures highlight a concentrated surge in activity within specific areas.

According to the New Taipei City Land Administration Bureau, the heightened transaction volumes in these districts are primarily driven by a substantial number of new property transfers and an increase in the resale of existing homes. This suggests a dynamic market influenced by both new construction completions and the resale of pre-owned properties.

Overall transaction cases, encompassing both land and housing, also saw an increase. In July, New Taipei City recorded 5,115 transaction cases, a 5.1% rise from the previous month.
