New Taipei City Offers Free AI Career Camp with AWS Training and Visits

New Taipei City's Youth Bureau is launching an "AI Practical Career Camp" to cultivate artificial intelligence talent, fully subsidizing courses valued at NT$66,000 for young individuals aged 21 to 30. The program aims to equip participants with essential AI skills and enhance their competitiveness in the job market.

The city is launching this year's 'AI Practical Career Camp' activity, with the city government fully subsidizing courses valued at NT$66,000. Registration is open from now until July 12.

The intensive three-month training, running from August to October, will be led by AWS-certified instructors. It includes preparation for the "AWS AI Practitioner" and "AWS Cloud Practitioner" international certifications. Participants will also visit AWS facilities to gain insights into the global cloud industry.

Beyond certification courses, the camp features nine practical classes from Internet University, covering topics like automated process design, no-code AI agent creation, and presentation skills. A concluding event in October will have partner companies present real-world industry challenges for teams to solve, with winning teams receiving customized career guidance.

The Youth Bureau continues to invest resources in AI talent development, hoping to cultivate interdisciplinary talent capable of using AI tools to solve problems and create value.

Applications are open until July 12, with a NT$1,000 deposit required for confirmed participants, refundable upon meeting attendance and completion requirements. The bureau is also offering six free online courses, with the first 40 to complete them receiving an AWS company visit opportunity, regardless of their selection for the main camp.

This practical career camp is planned from an angle closer to workplace needs, adopting 'international dual certification, business practice, corporate internships, and job matching,' expanding recruitment to 25 participants and upgrading course content, increasing the talent matching mechanism.
