New Taipei City Rents See Moderate Rise, Xindian and Sanchong-Luzhou Districts Lead Increases

Rental prices in New Taipei City experienced a moderate upward trend in the latter half of 2025, with the Xindian district showing the most notable increase of 6.19% compared to the previous period. Following closely, the Sanchong-Luzhou area saw a 4.19% rise.

Across the eight major sub-districts analyzed by the New Taipei City Land Administration Bureau, rental indices generally climbed. Tamsui was the only exception, registering a slight decrease of 0.46%. The overall semi-annual variation ranged between 1.01% and 6.19%, indicating a stable rental market.

When examining year-on-year changes, all eight sub-districts reported positive growth, ranging from 0.98% to 4.38%. Districts like Banqiao-Tucheng, Zhonghe-Yonghe, Sanchong-Luzhou, Xindian, Xizhi, and Shulin-Sanxia-Yingge saw annual increases of approximately 4%. This sustained growth reflects continued support for rental prices in key urban centers.

The bureau emphasized that the rental index is derived from actual transaction data and utilizes a new statistical methodology. Differences in sample structures and rental conditions between periods can influence single-period index changes, suggesting that long-term trends offer a more reliable perspective on the rental market's trajectory.
