New Three-Distance Race to Bring 6,000 Runners to Santiago’s National Stadium in December

A new mass running event will bring 6,000 participants to Chile’s National Stadium Sports Park on Sunday, Dec. 13. Runners can choose between 3K, 5K and 10K distances, with the start and finish set at the Mario Recordón Athletic Track.

The race is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Its organizers are presenting the courses as options both for people starting to run and for regular runners. Live music, batucadas and other activities will line the route.

After crossing the finish line, participants can stay in an area offering food, activities and a closing concert. The final musical act will be a mass-market artist, whose identity organizers plan to announce in the coming weeks.

The event will begin for participants and companions before race day. An expo on Friday, Dec. 11, and Saturday, Dec. 12, will handle kit collection and offer additional activities. The basic kit includes an official shirt, bag and medal, while the limited premium package also includes a cap and towel. Prices are 23,000 Chilean pesos for the basic package and 30,000 pesos for the premium option. Registration is available through Smart Fit Run.
